Traveltime by SAS: only 74 hours of flying.

Direction sign with the flying hours to each destination as could be seen at Bodo, Norway in the Twenties. I feel sorry for those who had to fly to Santiago de Chile, but back then 74 hours was actually surprisingly fast.

    Love this photo. You see these signposts everywhere now days, but this one is a real window in time (in every sense). I especially like how the North Pole is as close as anywhere…
